- The prizes are presented to a total of six programs: two dramas per category: TV Movie, Mini-series and Series Drama.

- Best Director, Best Screenwriter, Best Actor, Best Actress
- The prizes are presented to one individual per category.

- Special Prize
- The prizes, selected by SDA Organizing Committee and agreed by the juries, are presented to programs that have contributed to the improvement of TV drama production in the world.

- The Most Popular Foreign Drama of the Year
- The prize is presented to a foreign program that was most viewed and beloved in Korea 2010-2011.

- Yahoo People's Choice
- The prizes are presented to the most popular lead actors and/or actresses from the SDA 2010-2011 entries from Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The winners are selected by world netizens via online voting on Yahoo presented in three languages (Korean, English and Japanese).

- Outstanding Korean Drama Prize
- The prizes are presented to two programs, four individuals, and a best drama OST (theme song) from a pool of Korean dramas 2010-2011.
